What this site collects and why.
Democratic Justice is built to show its work. That standard applies to this site too.
We do not use this site to build an advertising profile around readers. If you read a story here, we are not trying to follow you across the web or sell your attention to a data broker.
What the site stores
This site stores your edition preference in your browser so it can remember day or night mode. That setting stays on your device unless you clear it.
Email and correspondence
If you email us, we receive the information you send, including your address and anything in your message. We use that information to reply, follow up, and keep a record of correspondence.
Hosting and security
The site is served through third-party infrastructure providers, including Cloudflare. Those providers may process basic request data, security logs, and network information to keep the site online and protect it from abuse.
Analytics
We are choosing privacy-first analytics over ad tech and reader profiling. If site analytics are enabled, they will be limited to aggregate measurement and this page will name the provider and explain what is collected.
