If your information involves sensitive material or your identity requires protection, say so in your initial contact and we will discuss secure communication options before you share anything further.

What makes a strong tip

The strongest tips come with documentation: filings, correspondence, financial records, meeting minutes, recordings, or other verifiable material. We prioritize tips that can be substantiated with primary sources because our reporting is built on provable claims, not allegations.

That said, you do not need a complete evidentiary package to reach out. If you know something is wrong and can point us in the right direction, that is enough to start a conversation.

Source protection

We take source protection seriously. We will not reveal a confidential source's identity without their explicit consent. If we cannot adequately protect a source in a given situation, we will say so before they share sensitive information.
